Snail Extract contains the snail secretion and an important quantity
of sterile water. In addition, the traditional way to obtain the snail
secretion to make snail extract consists on "bathing" the snails with water.
The secretion is then expelled in great quantities, since the snails produce
more of it when stressed. While the snails are not harmed, this is not a
natural occurrence for them. Therefore, the resulting secretion not only
contains additional water (more distilled water will be added later by the
lab!), but some natural toxins the snails release during this undesirable
bath.
