Elicina was the first mass marketed Snail Extract cream to hit the market, and showed the world the wonders of Helix Aspersa Muller Snail secretion as a cosmetic application.

Nevertheless, there is always room for improvement! Very recently, these outstanding new products have come to the market, all with formulas based on Helix Aspersa Muller Snail secretion.

The main difference with Elicina is that the new formulas use Snail Serum instead of Snail Extract, as Elicina does.

Snail Extract contains the snail secretion and an important quantity of sterile water. In addition, the traditional way to obtain the snail secretion to make snail extract consists on "bathing" the snails with water. The secretion is then expelled in great quantities, since the snails produce more of it when stressed. While the snails are not harmed, this is not a natural occurrence for them. Therefore, the resulting secretion not only contains additional water (more distilled water will be added later by the lab!), but some natural toxins the snails release during this undesirable bath.

Snail Serum is pure snail secretion, collected very, very slowly as the snails naturally expel it. The process is longer and tedious, but the resulting product has much more potency and purity, passing all its incomparable qualities to the resulting cosmetic.
